The accident situation in Italy in the European panorama
August 23 2018HOLIDAYS ARE OVER
August 25 2018Even today we propose a post that is still very current and deserves a second reading:
Let's take inspiration from a drama that happened some time ago.
A businesswoman dies while operating a forklift.
The security consultant is found dead.
Suicide!? Is there any connection with what happened?
What were the triggers?
Is his reaction due to an emotional state of such involvement, that guilt has worn him down to this point?
We certainly do not have useful elements to be able to express an opinion based exclusively on an article.
Of course, however, this has forced reflection and a series of questions.
I have been practicing this profession, made up of victories and defeats, for many years.
The victories are barely perceptible and measurable, but the defeats weigh like boulders.
Accidents, occupational diseases.
Scenarios of drama and desperation that you see, experience and reconstruct.
These are certain and verifiable units of measurement.
How many have you avoided, thanks to your patient, obnoxious, persevering commitment and thanks to everyone's involvement and conviction?
They are much less measurable and, certainly, not immediately recognizable, but over time.
When faced with a serious injury, we are faced with terrible reactions and everyone reacts in their own way, based on the energy they have at that moment.
One's role, one's emotionality, one's sensitivity, one's cognitive state and one's involvement.
Everyone, therefore, has an immediate reaction and consequence.
You immediately think of the injured person, the family, those involved, your business, your image, what the mass media report, what people say...
Things then take the path of anxiety, hope and, at times, outright drama.
Then anger, fear and desperation take over.
You begin to feel a "thirst for revenge" and search for the culprit.
It's normal and right.
No one, until now, has ever asked the question "How is the RSPP doing?"
He is listened to, involved, investigated.
More and more often condemned… by the people.
It's a fact: The RSPP, when something horrible happens, is... ALONE!
ONLY with his questions, with his doubts and possible feelings of guilt.
ALONE with his frustrations.
ALONE and bombarded with requests.
The RSPP is caught in the vortex, concentrated on answering all the thousand questions that are submitted, in addition to those it asks itself.
In an instant, the SHADOW MAN, and shaded, is illuminated by a bull's eye, dedicated to him, and remains lit for a long time.
Day and night.
HE BECOMES THE PROTAGONIST despite himself.
The RSPP reports, identifies, communicates.
He is often classified as a "pain in the ass", who creates problems, who "invents" laws.
The less said, the better?
When something happens, the hunt begins for the culprit!
Why didn't he say?
He knew?
Had seen?
How did he communicate it?
What had he communicated?
Had he used the right and precise words?
Where is the evidence?
…. she had to say it again!!! ….
…. and in the meantime he dies…
It is a collection of reflections…
Reflections that will never have an answer, but will ask other questions.
Nobody asks... but HOW ARE YOU RSPP?
It's your job dear RSPP and, if you do it well, it's a job that doesn't make any noise.
It's your job dear RSPP.
Do it with passion. Ermanno Bon
.... God of cities
and of immensity,
If it's true that you are there
and you have traveled more than us,
Let's see if we can learn this life,
and maybe change it a little,
before she changes us...
