COVID-19 OUTSIDE THE FACTORIES

It is not only from our observatory, which is made up of small, medium and large companies, that this important result has been found.

What is it due to?

Certainly the commitment and will of the companies and their managers.

Certainly from the union of efforts, between all categories, employers, supervisory bodies, trade union and non-union organizations, competent doctors, workers, ALL projected and concentrated towards the management and control of the spread.

Strict observance of the protocols and technical/organizational indications by all interested parties.

The sense of civility of the workers who immediately keep the companies updated of any positive cases or contacts with potential positive cases.

The prompt reaction of companies in isolating, and therefore containing, those involved in positive cases.

Awareness of the social importance of a useful and active organizational model to combat the spread of enemy.

The cases we have come across mostly have origins outside of work.

The sacrifice of businesses in containing the spread is certainly of significant and relevant economic impact:

• private initiative preventive or verification tests
• timely sanitization of environments
• compartmentalization
• wide availability of PPE and aids
• formative moments
• encouraging smart working
• reduction of trips and business lunches
• increase in use of FAD and video conferences
• slowdowns and waivers
• the high attention paid to preventive behaviours
• etc

This work, of which many are aware, has allowed us to have internal control so far.

However, it is impossible to make any contribution to conduct outside the confines of the workplace without spreading the culture of prevention even in the private sector.

The awareness of the social impact of companies has meant that thanks to the commitment made it is considerably complex, but we are convinced of bringing home the result if everyone gives their active contribution.

We at EB Sicurezza e Ambiente have been on the front line continuously since the end of February and, as already said since then, we have put and will put all our efforts into supporting businesses.
