Help, cooperate, evaluate, support.
They are important words that we often find in the various sacred texts and guidelines but which, sometimes, are not fully clear to the clients.
To provide some information and also present some examples of usable documents, we can refer again to an intervention, published on the website of the Ulss 8 Berica of the Veneto Region, relating to the obligations and tasks of competent doctors (MC).
For example, the contents of the proposed competent medical inspection report are found below, extracted from a not recent, but still current and high-level intervention by Dr. Bronzato Spisal – former A.Ulss 6 – Vicenza) of 18 November 2015.
Outline of the Competent Doctor's Inspection Report
- Date and place of the inspection and report if carried out jointly with RSPP (description).
- Check whether the DVR is present and view it and/or update it if necessary, collaborating with the Employer and the Head of the Prevention and Protection Service, on the assessment of all risks to safety and health during the employee's work activity ( description).
- Request floor plans of the place visited (description).
- Indicate the peculiarities of the environments visited: e.g. n. employees, no. men and n. women, n. managers and no. supervisors, n. users, no. disabled, n. self-employed workers and volunteers, etc. (description).
- Report any observations from the worker (description).
- Analytically describe the risks assessed (e.g. Vdt, MMC, biological risk, chemical risk, noise, vibration, carcinogenic risk, work-related stress, etc.) with equivalent methodology used and related calculation (description).
- Acquire the safety data sheets with the relevant risk phrases (description).
- Indicate and request any environmental investigations and measurements (description).
- Indicate, if necessary, for air exchange, any systems, machines and/or equipment present, possible substances used, any types of extraction, work cycles, ergonomic aspects (description).
- evaluate the adequacy of the VDT workstations and the ergonomics of the workstations in general, the adequacy of the use of photocopy machines, the microclimate, the lighting, the air conditioning systems, the chemical risk in confined environments and the presence of asbestos in buildings (description).
- Check or report the First Aid Devices (description).
- Check the appointment of First Aid staff and the related facilities (description).
- Acquire data from the workplace accident register (description).
- Check whether there is an adequate and periodic information and training activity for employees on safety and health risks in the workplace (description).
