IT CAN AND MUST BE DONE
August 29 2020QUALITY IS NOT JUST A WORD
3 September 2020Who among us hasn't been annoyed if someone in the queues tries to get ahead of you?
Who among us hasn't been irritated if someone is close to you (even breathing) while you're in line?
There are aspects of distancing that have positive implications.
RESPECT, ORDER, LOGISTICS, HYGIENE
Looking at the image certainly does not inspire, at least in us, negative reactions if, to wait to be served, you follow the instructions provided.
You respect your neighbors and those who work hard behind the counter.
Overlapping, cart chaos and elbow bumps are avoided, maintaining order.
Above all, you avoid transferring any contaminants (sometimes even odors) to your neighbors or those who serve at the counter.
ALL THIS GOES BEYOND COVID
Unfortunately, everything arises from an objective need, but we must be able to grasp the positive aspects even in the negativities.
From Wikipedia:
With social distancing, Reed chiamato physical distancing, means a set of actions of a non-pharmacological nature for the infection control aimed at slowing or stopping the spread of a contagious disease. The objective of social distancing is to decrease the probability of contact of people carrying an infection with non-infected individuals, so as to minimize the transmission of the disease, morbidity and, consequently, the mortality.
Social distancing is most effective when the infection can be transmitted via aerosol (droplets dispersed into the air through coughing or sneezing), direct physical contact (including i sexual intercourse), indirect physical contact (e.g. contact with a contaminated surface) or through the air (if the microorganism can survive in the air for long periods).
This does not mean that we must isolate everyone and, above all, we must not isolate people who are alone or in difficulty.
We simply have to resume one of the rules of normal coexistence, which is RESPECT FOR OTHERS' SPACE, rather than continuing to skip lines, waiting for our turn.
