QUALITY IS NOT JUST A WORD
3 September 2020WELCOME
8 September 2020The summer without shows and/or live music is a half summer (and even less), and the emergency for workers in the music/entertainment sector is increasingly dramatic.
How many and what categories of workers are involved?
There are many different definitions grouped together:
porters, sound engineers, lighting technicians, event organizers, tour managers, transporters, backliners, riggers, scaffolders, cameramen, photographers, costume designers, set designers, hairdressers, make-up artists, food & beverage, catering, security & safety, front & back stage, musicians , choral instrumentalists, actors, singers, extras and many many other professional figures who gravitate around the success of a concert or show who have certainly been forgotten in the list.
A diagram tries to illustrate them in summary.
Many of these work frantically 24 hours a day many days before the event.
Others create and design them long beforehand.
All these figures must be coordinated and protected so that they work in total safety and put them in the best possible conditions.
This also falls within the tasks of those who deal with accident prevention and workplace hygiene.
An aside that is considered necessary at this particular moment:
In the most difficult moments and emergencies all these professionals have always given generously their contribution, making us smile and helping to alleviate the weight of the darkest moments.
Now what they have always donated, their professionalism and their time, must be returned, supporting, encouraging and participating in their shows and initiatives, with great gratitude.
