WHAT RISKS SHOULD WE ASSESS?
November 3, 2022INL the point of the situation
November 12, 2022Before starting a job it is important that you think about what you have to do and then ask yourself:
Have I already done this job?
Am I perhaps too confident?
I feel good?
It makes noise?
Does it smell or smoke?
Can I get burned?
If I have to use chemicals, do I know them and how to protect myself?
Can I mix them?
Will there be splashes, splinters or sparks?
Did I get all the PPE I need?
Do I know the equipment/machinery I need to use well?
Can I get dragged, trapped or crushed?
Where is the car manual?
Have I removed any barriers or limit switches?
I know someone tampered with them? I don't come close.
I have to climb high. Where do I tie myself? And if I fall, will someone catch me?
If I'm alone and I'm unwell, does anyone see or hear me?
IF I TAKE EVERYTHING FOR GRANTED SOONER OR LATER I'M SCREWED
Obviously these are not all the questions we need to ask ourselves, but if we already start with these... it's not bad.
The work activity involves the same preparation as a sporting competition which requires preparation, concentration and psycho-physical well-being.
